Social Initiatives (MAPC)

Dr. Shahida Shaheen, extends her lifelong commitment to social service through MAPC (Motivation and Awareness Program for Community), a non-profitable, non-governmental, and non-political organization officially registered in May 2011 under the Voluntary Social Welfare Registration & Control Ordinance 1961, working across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, for beneficiaries of both gender and all age groups, where community participation, awareness, and development remain at the core of every effort.

MAPC Foundation

The foundation of MAPC traces back to the earthquake of October 2005 in Pakistan, when relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction efforts began through self-contribution, donation, and charity with the support of family members, relatives, and friends, gradually expanding as more individuals joined these initiatives, leading to the formal establishment of the organization with a structured network of board members and active participants within Pakistan and overseas, working with a mission centered on hope, trust, and continuous support for vulnerable communities.

Medical Camps

Healthcare support forms a central part of MAPC’s work, where free medical camps are arranged to provide general physical examination, medical advice, and free medicines to less privileged communities, especially in areas where basic health facilities are limited, alongside awareness programs focusing on first aid, nutrition, drug abuse, and prevention of diseases including T.B, HIV/AIDS, polio, and malaria, reflecting ongoing efforts to improve health conditions and access to primary healthcare.

Women Empowerment Work

MAPC actively promotes women empowerment through awareness, advocacy, and development initiatives aimed at supporting women in understanding their rights, building confidence, and achieving financial independence, with programs including vocational education, skill training, hygiene and health awareness campaigns, and community mobilization addressing gender issues, while encouraging a non-discriminatory environment and strengthening the role of women within society.

Community Projects

Through a wide range of community projects, MAPC addresses key social challenges by organizing Ramadan support programs, Eid ul Adha meat distribution, dowry support initiatives for young women, and food security efforts for deserving families, alongside safe water projects improving access to clean drinking water, education programs promoting formal and non-formal learning while reducing child labour, and disaster management initiatives providing relief through medical camps, free medicines, shelters, financial support, and essential supplies during floods and emergencies, ensuring sustained support and development across communities.
