Healing by day, writing for generations
While continuing her work as a doctor, Dr Shahida Shaheen established a respected place in Pakistan’s literary community — writing in both Urdu and Pashto across poetry, fiction, short stories, travelogue, Naʿat, essays, research articles, literary criticism and newspaper columns.

MAPC — service born from an earthquake
Inspired by the 2005 earthquake, Dr Shahida Shaheen founded MAPC (Motivation and Awareness Program for Community), a registered non-profit serving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with free medical camps, vocational training, education for street children and disaster relief.
